At StairCase we are not only going to stay within the law, we are going to go beyond it. Not only can you trust us not to steal your songs but if you have an idea for a good hook (thats not already taken) please send it to us and we will offer you a collabaration as well. We have song writers that can write great songs but sometimes have a hard time coming up with great hooks. We need those hooks, so if you come up with a great hook please send it to us. Our writers will write a song around that hook if it is usable. If you send us a hook and we market a song with that hook, we will be pleased to make you the co-writer on it. That means if the songs gets out there you will receive a share of the royalties just for the idea

That is the reason for this site, is your song marketable? If so what is it going to take to get it there?
We have walked in your shoes, we have played the Nashville game and know the score. Yes! your song can make it if it is good, but you must have an avenue to get it out there. That is what StairCase is accomplishing, an avenue between the large record companies and you, so that good songs written by the people out there can finally get a chance to be looked at by artists and publishers, television commercials, and other song avenues that normally would not get a chance to be seen or heard.
Don't spend good money on bad demos! we believe publishing Companies miss out on good writers because they want to get the whole package. Sure we want it all, but if you are only a lyricist then we will settle for that. If you have a melody to your song in mind then try to sing it on a cassette or on a Cd. Don't worry about your voice as long as you can get the idea across to us. Also if you have a friend who can sing, this might be a good opportunity for them to showcase their voice, so let them sing it for you.
If you are sending your entries by e-mail please attach your files, be sure and give all your information to assure that we will be able to reach you by mail or phone for contract purposes in the event your song is chosen for our catalog.
Please put in copyright date as well as songwriter info such as collabaration information.
If you send your entry by email please attach your sound files and give us the copyright date as well as the songwriter and co-writer information as well as valid contact numbers and a physical address in case we want to contact you for contract reasons or questions. We prefer a CD or tape and will be requesting one in the event we add you to our catalog.
When you think of catalog you think of a file cabinet or a computed list of songs with contracts already on them. StairCase does not ask for contracts on the songs in our library until we are ready to work on it, because of this the songwriters can have the resources to try and market their songs themselves. That way your song is not laying in a dead file somewhere just forgotten and the songwriter can do nothing but wait.
Sure if you can get a contract with a label you can tell your friends that you have been signed, but if that publisher just wants to fill a library for a future sell then you have nothing.

Recording companies in your area may be a good way to go to make the demo you send to us for evaluation. Also some people have computer capabilities that will do satisfactory demo for the evaluation purpose. As we have stated before we will be putting the money into any demo that we believe has potential if we find a market for your song. We will provide some links in the furture of Recording Studios in our area that we KNOW will make a good demo. But we must hear the quality of thier product and know for sure that the people will be getting a good product for the money. We will not be responsible if you do not like your demo, we will simply provide a few links of studios that send us a great demo or that we have had dealings with in the past that we were satisfied with ourselves. please make sure you check out the studio you use and remember that we will accept material that is not professional.

If you have any customer testimonials about the quality of your services please send them as well. We will only keep your link on our site as long as you keep up the quality of your services. We will ask you to link to our site also, if we agree to put your link on our site.
OUR CATALOGS...
StairCase has two catalogs, one means you are free to keep pushing your songs yourself. If you find an avenue that Staircase did not assist you with then we will simply delete that song from our library. The other catalog means that we have found a direction for your song and we want to sign a contract. You have nothing to lose because we do not ask for an exclusive on your song until we are ready to put money into it.
Remember this is a coop, we need your songs as much as you need our services. Together we can make a way for the songwriter who otherwise may never get to the people who are looking for material.
