We are looking for music and lyrics as well as complete songs for our magazine, there is a great need for both in songwriting, not every talented person can do all three but three talented people can some times do a great piece of work. In the event three of you do a song and send it in we will evaluate the song just the same. We will evaluate each of the parts of the song and let you know what we think of each part, but you will get each person evaluated for the same price.
If you pay with a credit card online and send your song by postal mail please send a copy of your printable reciept with your entry to recieve proper credit.
Please copyright your material, StairCase is aware that a song is copy written the moment it is on paper but does not want to try and market a song that is not protected in Washington. In the event someone steals your material there can be lawyer fees, as well as a lot of wasted time while a song is held up trying to win a court battle.
In the event you do not know how to copyright StairCase has a service that will copyright your material for you. Our songwriters have the knowledge to fill out the correct forms and see to it that everything is in order with your entry and we only charge $20.00 above the copyright fees. If you choose for StairCase to copyright your material then you will need to mail your material to yourself first, (do not open it) put it in a safe place and wait a week, then send a copy to StairCase to copyright for you.
In the event you wish to copyright the material yourself be aware that you can copyright several songs for the same amount as you can copyright one. StairCase has provided a link to the Washington Copyright office where you can find all the needed forms. This is where all your songs should be copy written at and this is where StairCase will copyright all your material.

We are accepting 10 ten lyric entries for a free evaluation; we are needing songs, so be one of the first 10 entries and we will send you a free evaluation. Free entries need to be sent by email and this project will start 2/5/2008 and will end with the number 10 entry. We will post these entries on this site with thier evaluations. Good luck, send us those entries, we will post final entry when we have recieved the 10th entry. We will post lyric evaluation on the artist page for the first 10 entries. We will also post contact information for the lyrical entries so that a collabaration may be possible.
